About Catering

The management and staff of Family and MWR Catering pride themselves on being able to successfully cater everything from morning coffee and working lunches to elaborate wedding receptions and parties.

Most of our catered events are held at Beaverdam Conference Center which is set along Beaverdam Pond. With its picturesque views, Beaverdam Conference Center is the perfect place to hold your special event.

Scheduling Information

When scheduling your special event, we will need the following information:

  • Date and time of the event
  • Name of eligible patron (Active Duty, Retired, or DoD Civilian)
  • Contact information with complete address
  • Estimated number of guests
  • Type of service desired
Catering Policy

All functions are tentative until Fort Walker receives a signed contract. A 15% service charge/set up/breakdown fee will be applied to all contracts.  Complete payment of the function is due five business days prior to scheduled function date.  Payment may be made by cash, Visa, or Mastercard.  Payment is the responsibility of the contract holder.

With the exception of special occasion cakes, all food and beverages will be provided by Family and MWR catering.

Menu selections and all details must be finalized 30 days in advance.  Final number of guests attending is required five days prior to the event.

All functions are limited to a maximum of four hours.  Serving time cannot be delayed more than 30 minutes from the starting contract time.

For any additional hours there will be a $50 per hour charge.  Request for extended hour(s) must be brought to management’s attention for approval at least 24 hours prior to event.

Alcohol Policy

No alcoholic beverages may be sold to, served to, or purchased by anyone under 21 years of age. Should a guest under the age of 21 be discovered consuming such beverages, the host will be requested to make immediate arrangements for the guest to be removed from the facility. For a cash/pay as you go bar, an additional labor fee of $150 is required.

Damages and Loss

Guests are responsible for any damage to the facility during the contracted times by any of their attendees or independent contractor under their control/hire. Family and MWR does not assume responsibility.
